Congratulations, somebody (Chase?):

You nearly rode off the road turning to watch me as I ran up the hill toward the huge cluster of cyclists you were riding with. We both smiled at that point where looking any longer would have likely caused personal injury. It's a long shot you'll find this note, but worthwhile if you're single. I don't think mutual attraction would present much of a hurdle, anyway. Drop me a line if it's you.and tell me what road you were on :)
Also, I shake my fist at all of you from my deathbed.

Thanks for the fun, I am tired but home and safe. P.S. I just sent an email out to the Bar Mitts company to thank them for the product. It even fits/works fairly well with brifters. See y'all in a month or three!

After seeing masses of people pushing their bikes up hills today, I'm proud to say the only time my feet left my stirrups was at the Vodka checkpoint.

Thank you Derrick and everyone who hauled stuff, the weather was perfect for a perfect day.

fuckin' A. Had a blast.

Also, someone was kind enough to lend me their Gerber multitool when putting on the pin-lock fittings, and they left before picking it back up. I currently have it. If you lost your gerber multitool, let me know.

Thanks to Derrick for putting on the race, Joe and Jimmy for the beer and Terry for taking care of the lady who was upset at the constant stream of people urinating "where kids play" Great weather, great ride.

It did snow, a little.

That was just marvelous. Don't think I've ever seen it snow on such a beautiful day. Thanks Derrick, Joe, Jimmy, and whoever else organized or made or collected stuff.

The hills got a little steeper overnight.

sorry, i was tired and home was calling... also my low gear is 48-34 so i can't actually go that slowly.

good times, thanks again derrick for your work putting this on. It was my first FHR in a couple years and I had a blast! Would have been happier to see some more ladies actually racing, but I guess not everyone has a competitive streak as wide as mine... ah well. thanks to everyone who came out and made it what it was!

Hah! I donated those BarMitts, after winning them at the StinkySpoke 2 years ago. Glad they're getting used and work well, I wonder if someone at Barmitts is confused reading their work email this morning?

Much fun was had by me, legs tired this morning, etc. Thanks Derrick,Scott, Jeff and whoever else that gathered prizes or food or booze or whathaveyou.

Not to say I'm awesome or anything, but I have to admit the hills didn't seem to suck as much this year as last year. Maybe it was because I didn't start the race hungover, and actually *ate* some food during the race or something. Go figure. Going up the last hill, I remember it being higher, steeper, and meaner last year.

I'll send ENVE a picture when I put my new carbon fuck on tonight.

Oops I mean fork.

Good work! Maybe next year they'll send us some wheels.

Just remembered that I found some gloves in the park as we were leaving. They are a thicker pair of fleece gloves. Black and gray with a button snap.

Sounds like a fun day and I was sad to miss it. I was less sad when I remembered I was in Mexico pedaling at a leisurely pace in the sun with no hills to get tacos.

In reference to my FHR email, Bar Mitts has responded by expressing an interest in setting up a booth at Chilly Hilly next year. huh...

No shit!? Definitely will have to pick up a set of those. Wonder how the quick release and brake-mount system works...?

$700 fork feels better, longer. Especially slammed. It's science.
