PM me if you are a jobless mechanical engineer looking for something, I know about a position through a telephone game of friends.

Quote:
.... 5 to 10+ years hands-on experience with proven project engineering skills ............Ideally, this would include a bachelor’s or advance degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of training and hands-on experience. Knowledge of ANSI & ISO drafting and geometric tolerances, as well as mind set with hydraulic component and seal designs, castings and forging, hydraulic system, schematics and basic circuit design.

The email is much more wordy, I can forward it to you

Hey nerds and nerdettes: my company's hiring a GIS developer! GIS experience helpful but far from necessary.

Our offices are in Olympia and Boise, but there’s also a few employees who work remotely from elsewhere. After I’ve been there a few more months I'm gonna see if I can transition to working two days per week there in Olympia, and three from home in Seattle.

My work (NetMotion Wireless) is hiring two interns for the QA team.
Wireless broadband + GIS stuff.

Fun office, no real experience required (but you've got to be good with computers), pretty good pay for interns, and you get to see me EVERY SINGLE DAY.

we're thinking an undergraduate in something nerdy, but that's not a hard requirement. Also, we don't have to wait until Summer if you're ready to work now.

Hit me up.

I need a developer (C#) for my team. 5+ years experience, good systems fundamentals (multithreaded programming, using locking properly, understanding the basics how to make Windows apps and services perform well), and machine learning or natural language processing experience would be awesome (but isn't required).

Contact me if you want more details.

Heck, if you want to work with me and hang around some cool folks and big green trucks, we're hiring a Network Admin at CleanScapes.

Easy bike commute for folks if, you know, you like riding bikes. I don't know if folks here are into that though.

Drop me a PM if you want the details - the job description I've got is pretty thorough.

Looking for a MS SQL lead. You won't be in a managerial position. This is an engineering lead position. You'll have one other MS SQL admin to work with; nice lady but you'll need to take the reigns and drive big picture stuff.

You will be called upon to handle most elements of designing and maintaining SQL architecture. That said, we just rolled out - this week - $90,000 worth of SQL server hardware that you'll have the keys to; so most of this job right now will be getting this new environment settled and rolling smoothly. We're trying to get the migration of services and decom of old environment completed before my SQL guy leaves next Friday. I HAD 40 days left to do this - now I have 11 so everythings on an accelerated timetable.

You will report to the Dev Manager but as SQL Lead you will often work closely with me as the System Architect and NetOps Manager - I tend to defer to our SQL admin for much of the detail work and SQL maintenance, but there is significant overlap where SQL is concerned.

The company business itself is not exciting - we purchase and process large amounts of bankruptcy debt for banks. As those of you who are interested know, at this level it doesn't matter if it's bankruptcy debt, selling puppy dogs, or brokering chicken wing futures - from this end it's all the same.

Job description follows. Send me your resumes.

Putting feelers out for an extra mechanic/sales/gives a shit about local bicycle culture growth.

Our east wing remodel is almost finished and we've recieved the first two truck loads of inventory from the now defunct Mountainside (Veloce Velo) Issaquah.

In the transition it seems all current staff have been laid off or fired.

We may need new blood. Come by the warehouse sometime or email me if interested.

****Mechanical Engineer Position****

Rapp Hydra-Pro is looking for a mechanical engineer to design cranes for marine applications. Looking for someone with a background in welding and weldment design. A good working knowledge of hydraulics is also useful, but could easily be picked up on the job. Software is Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and ANSYS FEA (super basic package, no multiphysics here). The job is basically design cranes, pedestals, platforms, HPUs, and the hydraulic circuits. There is also a fair amount of working with the shop to manage the AWS Weld Program and oversee / improve manufacturing processes. If this sounds like your type of deal send your resume to Jennifer Cresap. jcresap (at) hydrapro (dot) com.

I don't have any more info than that - ran into the director of sales assembling a demo bike at Wright Brothers last night. He mentioned it would be a plus if you had your own van. Tacoma Dude?
