I'd heard rumors about a bicycle trail along the busway / light rail and saw mention of it today while trying to figure out exactly how far south the light rail is going before turning to Beacon Hill: "A new bicycle/pedestrian trail has been built alongside the light rail route and Busway that will connect with the Mountains to Sound Greenway trail. " [1].

You can see it on google maps, but it looks like it goes to Lander or maybe Spokane. One could take 6th south a ways and enjoy the quiet, but you're going to have to end up on 4th or Airport way to get across the railroad yard when headed into Georgetown anyways.

It's not on the South Seattle bicycle map yet [2], but is on the master plan [3]. Which is pretty interesting, as it shows a desire to link this new trail with west seattle and beacon hill, including cheif sealth, with a shard use path.

Appendix I Note 82 offers that either the Airport Way Bridge should get a shared use path or 6th Ave should get a bicycle / pedestrian over pass, which I think would be awesome. This map and I:27 indicate that the busway shared use trail ends at Forest Street but could be extended to Spokane.

Anyways, it'd be pretty awesome if any of this happened on a FasterThanSoundTransit schedule.

I've been riding that trail a lot since the start of July. Ever since they finished all the shit for the light rail, they've cleaned it all up.

It starts behind that garage near the bus lane, and goes to Lander St.

Totally.

You can come with me again if you just don't do that one thing again with the motor oil.
