Anyone know where to rent bikes in Seattle?
I have a lot of friends coming to town in August (getting married is a wonderful way of summoning the tribes), and a few of them might actually listen to my preaching about cycling around town, but it will be a lot easier to convince them if they don't need to bring their own bikes with them on the plane. |

Yes you did Dean. Thanks!
I have 8 bikes, and a tandem. Plus you can rent pretty much any of my personal bikes, including my fixie. All of my bikes are tuned and in top shape so no worries about mechanicals.
Bus 22 and 54 come right to my shop from downtown. |

At the horror of dealing with CouterBalance though. Seems like something worth avoiding to me, but my views on that shop are well known and my own. Someone else may have a better experience there than I have. Six strikes and you're out though in my book... |

| CounterBalance is closer to where my friends would be staying, so that counts in its favour, but I've never used them because there's always been someone closer (either Velo or Elliott Bay Bikes, neither of whom seem to do rentals). I would actually be interested in your tale of woe, because if the place sucks I won't send friends there. If you've written about it before maybe just link to that? |
